Questions and answers
Anything not covered here: zakharsasu@gmail.com. Include the account name and roughly when the problem happened — that is usually enough to find it.
Which accounts can I connect?
The TikTok accounts you own or are authorized to manage. Each account is connected through TikTok's authorization screen and can be disconnected from TikTok at any time.
Does Spotly post anything on its own?
No. A clip is uploaded only after you have selected it, chosen who can see it, and confirmed. There is no automatic posting behind your back.
What is the difference between a draft and a direct publish?
A draft lands in the account's TikTok inbox: you open the TikTok app and finish it there, with the cover, sounds and effects the app offers. A direct publish posts the clip as it is, with the privacy level you picked — but you lose the editing step in the app, and the title is used as the caption.
Why is “Public to everyone” missing, or Duet and Stitch greyed out?
Because TikTok says so for that account. Spotly shows the options TikTok reports for the connected creator instead of a fixed list — a private account, for example, cannot publish publicly, so the option is not offered. Switch the account back to public in the TikTok app and the option reappears.
I published a video and cannot find it on the profile
A video published as Only me is not in the public grid: it is in the private (padlock) tab of the profile, visible to the account owner only. Videos sent as drafts are not on the profile at all until you post them from the TikTok app inbox.
My publish was refused. What now?
Spotly shows the reason TikTok returned. The frequent ones are a clip longer than the account's maximum duration, an unsupported format, and an expired authorization — reconnecting the account fixes the last one.
How do I revoke Spotly's access?
In the TikTok app: Profile → Settings and privacy → Security & permissions → Apps and services, then remove Spotly. The stored tokens stop working immediately.
What happens to my videos and my data?
The clip is sent to TikTok and no copy is kept afterwards. Tokens and the account fields shown in the interface stay in local files on the machine running Spotly, are never sold or shared, and can be deleted on request. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what is collected and how to have it removed.
How do I get access?
Write to zakharsasu@gmail.com with the accounts you publish for. Spotly is set up on request rather than through a public sign-up.
